Thirteenth Bridge Games Studio is an Oregon based startup company, working to bring gamers its sports royale stadium collection of games.
Our mission was to create a brand identity and website that conveys the story of Thirteenth Bridge, from where they are and how they got there. The two founders of the studio are passionate about the culture and games they grew up playing because that is what brought them together in Portland. The founders of the games studio are striving to make games that are engaging, immersive, and memorable. It was our mission to build them a brand that reflects that.
Creating an identity that is bold, unique, and ultimately speaks to Thirteenth Bridge's story is what we strived for. We took this opportunity to dig into the founders' personality and background to find something that spoke to them. With this, we arrived at taking a modern approach on a traditional old english letter mark. As I started sketching ideas and playing around with the number thirteen, I realized how it created a shape that would also resemble the letter B. With that, Thirteenth Bridge's identity was born.
After we built the face of the brand for Thirteenth Bridge, our next project was to design a website that tells the company's story. The goal of the website is to inform people who Thirteenth Bridge is, in a way that shows off their roots. Just like the brand identity, I drew inspiration from what Portland is known for - their bridges. Pairing imagery of some of Portland’s most iconic bridges with the sleek, tech style font gave the website a look of its own.
